Our hearts have been broken with the recent passing of our dear friend and coworker Jay Jewell.
Jay was part of the Fresh team for nearly 20 years.
He met Fresh CEO Dinny when the two were in college, and after Dinny started Fresh Creative in 1999, it was only a matter of time before Jay joined the team.
Over the years, Jay held many different roles at Fresh. Most often he operated as an account manager, but he was truly a jack-of-all-trades, helping out wherever he was needed.
That was who Jay was. Both inside and outside of work, his kindness and helpfulness were evident to all who knew him.
We will miss all that he brought to our lives here at Fresh.
Every day, he greeted each one of us with a smile and a handshake.
Every day, Jay laughed and shared jokes with us.
And just about every day, he was driving somewhere. Jay was Fresh’s unofficial chauffeur for client meetings, print checks and deliveries. In fact, he once trekked to and from Chicago to ensure a client had materials for a trade show.
Did we mention he was also our photography model? Jay frequently was a stand-in to test lighting and framing before photo shoots. Over the years, this allowed us to compile quite a few humorous snapshots.
Truly, life working with Jay was a joy.
His passing leaves a hole in our office and our hearts, but there’s one thing we know to be true.
We’re thankful to have known him. And we will never forget him.
Rest in peace, dear friend. See you on the other side.
